Meeting with Stepping Stones Parent and Toddler Group

Stepping Stones preschool in Belleek has a vibrant parent and toddler group that meet on wednesday mornings. After an initial meeting with the group organiser and the parents we decided that I would lead the workshops in a separate room so that we could keep the group to a maximum of ten parents and toddlers for each of the workshops. I’ve found that this is a good number to be able still to keep a good focus with this age group. The room I will be using is a good size, big enough to arrange different activities in the space but not so big that the group would loose focus and be too dispersed. It’s very much a school room though and is not in itself an inspiring space. Nearly all the parents expressed an interest in taking part in the workshops and also perhaps some intrigue about art workshops for this age group. We plan to run two sets of three workshops so that all the group have an opportunity to take part.
