Day 17 - Land of Fire

Description

We had a wonderfully full day today. A repeat patient from last week took part, and formed a lovely team with the other 1-2 children that took part. Consequently we achieved a lot! We performed via the video link in the morning, using the rolling backdrop box, pictured here. The drawings of fire were made by toddlers who were present at the table in the play room. I gave them fire coloured markers, and away they scribbled, collaborating with Mums. I was delighted how firey they looked, and suitable for our story. It also meant that pressure on the same children to make both backdrop and puppets was reduced. Or I should say, the pressure on me to have the same children produce both was lessened!

The children chose dragons as their fire creatures, and we met Anna in the land of Earth. I was also amazed at Anna`s web cam wizardry, when she made virtual flowers appear like magic.. I have to admit, I thought it was our friends in Trinity waving their magic techie wands. What a great find Anna!
