Day 15 -Monsters of the Deep

I worked a different day of the week today, as earlier in the week I was participating in the Arts Council`s Vital Signs Exhibition. Www.vitalsigns/artscouncil.ie.

Today was slow to start. The play specialist was also away a couple of days before When this happens, she told me that it takes a little bit of time to `claim back` the playroom.

The children were slow to come down to the playroom, and those that did were shy to take part. I reminded myself to `trust in the process`. I used the spare time to play with ways of combining the live web link and the overhead projector. Eventually a very young girl and her Dad, 2 years old took interest in the activity, and began to make.

Today I was continuing again to explore hospital materials - see through plastics, and tubing -� materials which could make shadow puppets for use on an overhead projector.

We also built on the last few weeks` theme of water, utilising some of the puppets left from the week before. I am happy to be able to make this continuity.
