For the Love of Reading
Created 2012-06-18 by Lisa Fingleton
Location: Tralee - Co. Kerry
Duration: 2012-06-18 to 2012-07-20
Project Outline
What is the best book you ever read? Why do you choose to read (instead of watching TV)? Where did you get your love of reading?
“For the love of reading” is a collaborative film project between Kerry Library, Kerry Film Festival, 9 teenagers and film-maker Lisa Fingleton. Lisa worked with the young people in Tralee library for a week during the summer holidays to create this film.
They learned how to use the cameras and sound equipment, how to arrange interviews and how to edit their film. They interviewed a diverse group of over twenty people about their love of reading: The best books they ever read; Why they read instead of watching TV and where they got their love of reading.
