Disposable Film Festival Residency 2012
Created 06/12/2012 by
Location: San Francisco -
Duration: 06/12/2012 to 2012-05-25
Project Outline
This residency has informed by the spirit of collaboration: I was invited to consult on a developing youth education programme by DFF and TILT and I was supported to conduct research and development into processes that will benefit my practice and the young people I work with in Ireland. Exchanging skills with Katie Gillum (DFF) and Robyn Bykofsky (TILT), we will explore the latest methodologies in media production, post-production and creative dissemination for youth, informed by the principals of DFF.
The outcomes of the residency have been
- Creation of ‘DFF OutTakes Youth Documentary Crew’ (See OutTakes Flier for info)
- Production of a series of webisodes by OutTakes (See http://vimeo.com/channels/dffouttakes)
- Preview of webisodes at a street screening event at Inner Sunset Art Crawl April 2012 (See http://is-art-here.com/2012/05/02/relive-aprils-crawl-with-some-disposable-footage/)
- Official launch of webisodes at Oakland innovation Film Lab hosted by KQED on June 18th 2012 (See http://events.kqed.org/events/index.php?com=detail&eID=22664&year=2012&month=6)
