The Summer Camp of the Imagination

The Summer Camp of the Imagination is funded by The Pushkin Trust and is held on the Baronscourt Estate in Newtownstewart,Co. Tyrone. Thirty three primary school children from Longford, Strabane and Derry spent five days in the company of three environmentalists and three artists. They explored the environment using the five senses. I was the musician for the week and worked with the young people in three groups of 10-12. Parents and teachers also took part in the workshops. Using a variety of percussion and  musical instruments we explored the Pushkin Trust's year-long theme of The Tree of Life.
