Lines Crossing, (phase two)

Kate Wilson and Cathal Roche from Tulips and Oysters Cross-Arts are working collaboratively with participants from St. Edward's National School, Ballytivnan, Sligo, in Lines Crossing. This project is part of Kid's Own Publishing's Nature of Sligo Project.
The work looks at forgotten and familiar railways in Co. Sligo. The first phase of this project, facilitated by composer-performer, Cathal Roche, explores 'speech' sound, 'instrumental' sound and 'environmental' sound building up a network of crossing lines all generated by participants through a class survey of local railways. The second phase of this project facilitated by Kate Wilson, explores the relationships between sound and the visual sphere, developing networks from the 'instrumental' to the rhythmic and spatial, line, form and colour.
