Nick Rabkin is currently a researcher with the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, leading the first national research project on teaching artists, the Teaching Artist Research Project. Nick has contributed an essay to Practice.ie, entitled The Intrinsic and Instrumental Value of the Arts - Two Sides, Same Coin. "One of the remarkable things the arts teach is that there are multiple perspectives and multiple answers to complex questions. It is not either intrinsic or instrumental, but both".
