Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office, in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Childcare Committee, invites proposals from performing arts practitioners or organisations to research, develop and perform new artistic and interactive experiences for pre-school children.
An integral part of the commission is that successful applicants will be based in local community early years services to develop the work with the children as co-creators.
The commissioners will match the successful applicant/s with the community early years services locations. One will be based in Dún Laoghaire, to the east of the county, another in Ballinteer, to the west.
Each award will offer a project development commission fee of a maximum of €7,000 and assistance in developing relationships with the community childcare services.
As part of each commission there must be a minimum of two performances/showcases in dlrLexIcon Studio or other suitable venues in the County that are free to the public.
Timeline
The projects will commence in December 2015 for a maximum period of 6 months. Successful individuals/companies must engage in on-going communication and feedback with dlr Arts Office.
