The National Gallery of Ireland (NGI) wishes to appoint two Art Educators for week long residencies for summer 2015.
The gallery wishes to collaborate with an art educator(s) to run two, week long residency programmes in the Millennium Wing Studio situated in the main gallery. The residencies will form part of the overall extensive summer public programme of talks, tours workshops and projects. The opportunity is open to professional artists or art teachers with significant experience who wish to expand their practice and develop a focused art educational project in a National Cultural Institution. Applicants should have experience working with a broad demographic as the residency will require engaging children and families, youths and adults in keeping with NGI’s life-long learning policy. Applicants must also be aware of National Child Safety Policies and Health and Safety Guidelines.
Two separate residencies will be available, the first in July (13th – 17th) and the second in August (10th – 14th).
Interested parties should submit an application to education@ngi.ie no later than 12 noon on Tuesday June 1st.
