On Friday, March 23, 2012, Growing Artists II, an exhibition of work by children in schools will open in Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Manorhamilton at 1 p.m.
The exhibition will feature over 100 artworks including individual and collaborative pieces. Several projects were undertaken by pupils in St. Clare’s Comprehensive, Gaelscoil Chluainín, Masterson National School and St. Columban’s Primary School. Edel White, art tutor from St. Clare’s Comprehensive, facilitated the work in St. Clare’s, and artist Christine Mackey ran workshops as part of a residency last year in the Gaelscoil, Manorhamilton.
The exhibition will open on March 23rd and will run until Thursday, April 12, 2012.
