KIDS’ OWN PUBLISHING PARTNERSHIP: CALL FOR ARTISTS
Virtually There – VIRTUAL ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAMME
Kids’ Own is inviting submissions from artists based across Ireland to take part in a virtual artist-in-residence programme in 2012.
‘Virtually There’ uses video-conferencing software to connect artists in their studio with school children in Northern Ireland through a collaborative arts process.
Currently 4 artists and 4 schools are involved in this project. The next phase of the project will bring on two new artists and schools who will work together for 12 weeks.
Artists will be given a six-week training period, to familiarise themselves with the technology and their partner school, prior to commencement.
Deadline for submissions is Monday 19th December 2011, 4pm.
