Barnardos have made a statement calling for children to be protected in the upcoming budget.
Quoting CSO figures, Barnardos state that over 90,000 children in Ireland live in poverty. Fergus Finlay, CEO of Barnardos, maintains that savings must be made in the budget, "Budget 2012 must be about investing in Ireland’s most valuable assets: our children.”
