INTERFACE VIRTUAL ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAMME
Kids Own is inviting submissions from artists based in Northern Ireland to take part in a virtual artist-in-residence programme in 2011.
Interface uses video-conferencing software to connect artists in their studio with school children through a collaborative arts process.
In the first phase of the project, two Northern Irish artists worked with two schools over an 18-week period. The next phase of the project will bring on two new artists and schools who will work together for five weeks.
Artists will be given a five-week training period, to familiarise themselves with the technology, prior to commencement.
Deadline for submissions is Friday 3rd December, 2010.
For a full submission brief, contact Orla Kenny or Jo Holmwood at Kids Own: info[at]kidsown.ie or call 0 (0 353) 7191-24945
