Project Outline
Crafted Creatures at The Ark
Discover a world of beautifully made beasts
19 February 27 March 2011
The Ark is preparing for an invasion of Crafted Creatures this spring, when every floor of its award-winning building will come to life with a captivating free exhibition of animal-themed craft for children and families. The exhibition is presented by The Ark and the Craft Council of Ireland to celebrate Year of Craft 2011.
Running alongside the Crafted Creatures exhibition, a programme of weekend and mid-term break craft workshops will give children a unique opportunity to work with expert craftspeople to explore animal themes using materials like clay, wire, fabric, rubber and plastic. The content of each workshop will be appropriate for your child`s age group (toddlers, 4-7 year olds and 8-12 year olds), and workshops start with a tour of the exhibition.
Free entry to exhibition
Workshop tickets 10/8 (concessions)
Crafted Creatures special events
