Background
As a music performer, I play piano accordion and sing with various bands over the years including The Fireflies (Klezmer) and Rumpus (original and folk).
I am currently studying for the MA in Community Music at University of Limerick. I have an HDip in Arts (Music) from UCC and RIAM Senior Certificate in piano.
I work through music and movement with a wide range of people, of all ages: I am an early years music facilitator (Music Tots); I co-ordinate and facilitate many community music projects in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, preschools, and youth centres, as well as with adults with disabilities. Activities include playing, singing, creating new music, and movement to music.
I teach piano and keyboard, mainly to groups of children, but also individuals.
I have recorded a CD of original songs for children, ’Stomping In The Woods’, which I use in early years music education and fun workshops.
