Background
Hilary is an experienced performer, theatremaker and facilitator. Following a BA in Language and Cultural Studies in UCC, she studied movement in London. She then worked in Ireland and the UK with many leading theatre companies like Grid iron, Rough Magic and the Performance Corporation. She is a founding member and Joint Artistic Director of Playgroup who have produced seven shows to date. Their latest show, Berlin Love Tour was nominated for multiple awards at the Absolut Fringe Festival and the irish Theatre Awards. Berlin Love Tour will tour internationally in 2011/2. She is a qualified Ashtanga yoga teacher.
She set up Make and Do in 2009 in response to an Arts Council bursary for research on interactivity and theatre. So far they ahve curated PlayFair, ireland’s first pervasive games festival and will launch three new projects in 2012 in collaboration with major partners. More information on launch.
