Background
My academic and professional background includes security sector reform, conflict resolution, media, the arts and education. I have trained and work as a theatre practitioner, mediator and facilitator. My work in the applied arts field deals largely with issues of identity and personal growth. In 2007 I completed an MPhil in Post Conflict Reconciliation Studies. My thesis concerned the application of reconciliation and restorative justice theory and practice to that of prison reform. I am currently working as an advisor and artist in residence on the REACH initiative at Maghaberry prison in Northern Ireland. REACH stands for reaching out and engaging with prisoners through collaborative and holistic means. As an artist in my own right I am continually planning and executing various performance events.
