.Professional Statement
I graduated at the University of Fine Arts in 2010 where I have received a Masters of Arts degree in Graphic Arts, and in Visual Educating.
I turned my attention early on the technique of ink, but during my formation as an artist I have experimented with analoge film, painting on canvas, photography and other mixed techniques as well. I have also been recently participating in several mural projects. I have designed and painted large-scale wall-paintings. I would like to go on further on this field, which I find very facinating. Also in addition to my educational carrier, I have designed and made several special works of art for children. Mural paintings, illustrations are also had been executed.
My style is based on the combination of the abstract and figural art. The spontaneous and detailed elements are incorporated into large compositions. I love both monumental and miniature works.
I have made several artist-books (I am a member of the Hungarian Artist’s Book Association) but also I have made - in addition to my mural works - large-scale graphic art series, called "Battle scenes".
My newest, and still unfinished project is executed under the title "Fishes". It can be seen as a continuation of an earlier project from 2006. I am also thinking about publishing a graphic novel based on the series and web-novel "Evil From Mars."
Educational activities:
I have been teaching at Könyves Kálmán Secondary School since 2010. I cooperate with my colleges. We developed a method to help each other’s work and the students’ learning process. We started some new traditions since I have been working there (exhibitions, comic series, drawing and preparation course to art collages and universities…, special field-trips- exhibitions, art universities, art studios…).
My goal is to get students closer to visual arts and art history in general. I would like to show them how exciting this area is and how present it is in our daily lives. I would like them to develop a more personal relationship to this subject, creating a certain open mindedness and raising the courage to dare to be themselves and create.
The practical and theoretical lessons complement each other and are usually linked. I think it is important for students to learn about contemporary art and to discover links between different eras and subjects like history, music, literature and other humanities. I would like them to achieve a broader view of the whole art and cultural phenomenon in the course of History.
The museum education have also affected the way I teach in the secondary school. Many times I go with my colleagues who also take their classes into museum education.
I started to work as a museum educator in 2008. Between 2008 and 2009 I worked at the GYIK, a popular artistic class at the Hungarian National Gallery. (Children and Youth Arts Workshop- drawing circle)- http://www.gyikmuhely.hu/ It’s a magical place for preschool children There they can meet a lot of techniques and other interesting methods of self expression. Several programs are organized by different educators waiting for the children to improve their talents. The programs are held in every weekday afternoons.
From 2010 I have been working at the Budapest Ludwig Museum. I participated in several projects such as the popular Family Matinee, the Lumi Kids Birthday Party, Cifra Palota/ Gaudy Palace and many others.
We have been organizing Integrated Family Matinee for mentally incapacitated/ mentally challenged children (The suffer from Down syndrome, autism, birth asphyxia and other challenges.) since September 2010. We organize it for kindergarten, primary school children.
