PPP Last day Hospital D

Last Wednesday was the final contact day of the Puppet Portal Project. Final project day though is an evaluation meeting with all involved, this week Wednesday.

Day 19 Hospital D

Still due to infection control the classroom was closed for children. I had thought of & prepared ways to still involve children in a collaborative action of art making- keeping in mind that I need the full support of the teachers who see the children on the wards.

PPP Earth Day 17

Theme of the day was EARTH.

I did not work directly with children in my hospital - ( the schoolroom is still not in use / teachers work on the wards- all precautionary measures re H1N1) . Still I prepared an earthy place on a table in the deserted classroom & to "Earth"puppets & linked up with two other hospitals .

Day 16 from Studio/ Hospital D

The structure,  themes & methods of linking up for next  4 sessions of the Puppet Portal Project were devised and planned during a day of artist´s exchange mentored by Kids Own, which took place during the term break.

Roughly the themes are the four elements and linking up will happen on different levels (video link up, stories with meeting points, working on a collaborative map)- Please look up the Day 16 Blog of Hospital C for detailed description.

PPP Day 15 Hospital D

The last Wednesday before term break saw the classrooms tables transforming into a small but spooky world of haunted houses and castles, inhabitat by flying stick puppets with flittering costumes.

PPP Day 14 Hospital D

NATURAL HABITATS

Day 13 PPP Hospital D

Theme of the day was market stalls.

Sailing Puppets-PPP Day 12

The collective theme of this week was travel.

Day 9 Hospital D - Ruby´s Travels

The last day of the Puppet Portal Project before summer break!
And some really special developments : finally found a way the children can facilitate filming (nearly)on their own / a great joy in performing and play (in previous sessions, the puppet making was often their favourite bit)/ self-managed teamwork amongst the children.
